INDOOR AIR QUALITY TEST

Expert Service

Indoor air quality is generally worse than most people believe, but there are things you can do about it.

Some Quick Facts:

Indoor air quality can be worse than that of outdoor air.

Problems can arise from moisture, insects, pets, appliances, radon, materials used in household products and furnishings, smoke, and other sources.

Effects range from minor annoyances to major health risks.  Remedies include ventilation, cleaning, moisture control, inspections, and following manufacturers' directions when using appliances and products.

Research has shown that the quality of indoor air can be worse than that of outdoor air. Many homes are built or remodeled more tightly, without regard to the factors that assure fresh and healthy indoor air. Our homes today contain many furnishings, appliances and products that can affect indoor air quality.

Better Health

An Elevated condition of mold in your home can be very dangerous to your health. Certain mold spores are known carcinogens and others can lead to respiratory disease, allergic reactions, and other health issues, in addition to compromising the integrity your home's building construction and structure. A Mold Inspection and Mold Testing can help prevent serious problems and significant expenses.

RADON TESTING

Detect this Odorless, Colorless, and Tasteless Gas

Has your home been tested for Radon? It may be time to check your home’s radon levels.

Radon is an odorless, tasteless and colorless gas that is virtually undetectable to humans. It is released into the home by the decay of uranium, usually found in the building’s foundation. At high levels radon is extremely dangerous and carcinogenic. After cigarettes, radon is the most common cause of lung cancer in both Europe and the U.S. At Right Way Home Inspections, we are both knowledgeable and skilled in conducting radon testing and believe it to be one of the most important aspects of home and building inspections.

According to the Environmental Protection Agency, one in 15 homes in the United States contain unsafe levels of radon.

Fortunately, radon testing and mitigation is now easier and more accurate than ever.

At Right Way Home Inspections, we set a top-of-the-line radon continuous-testing monitor. We use Sun nuclear testing equipment for our radon sampling. The building or property being tested will need to be closed for 12 hours during testing. After 48 hours, we obtain the test equipment and the results. If the radon inspection indicates that your home contains unsafe levels, Right Way Home Inspections will consult with you about the variety of methods for mitigating the radon and reducing the health risks for you and your family. A full report is provided after the inspection is complete.

Once the risk to your home has been reduced, periodic follow up tests are always recommended for homes with high levels of radon.

Don’t delay, have your home tested for radon. For a service estimate or quote call us today.  Testing may be as low as $110.
