PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND

12 Years As a Professional Inspector

After graduating college from Oregon State University with a Bachelors of Science in Safety and Environmental Management, I spent a total of 12 years as a professional inspector, 10 of those years with Weyerhaeuser Company.  At Weyerhaeuser I was part of a 12 person management team and my specific role was to conduct inspections daily of the 180 employee hardwood lumber manufacturing facility in Centralia Washington.  I spent the first five years leading this manufacturing site to one of the lowest injury rates in all of the company and our mill was the cleanest it had ever been.  I spent the next five years traveling the country to all 12 hardwood lumber manufacturing locations rolling out a new management system including leading continuous inspection process of all 12.  In just five years all the hardwood lumber facilities in Weyerhaeuser became certifiable to the international standard 14001, Environmental Management Systems.  My time with Weyerhaeuser will always be a cherished memory.

I switched gears in 2007 from the fortune 50 company to get closer to my community in which I have lived since 1997.  I helped a friend and small business owner at Cooper Point Dental expand over 7 years, tripling the gross profit.  I co-led our high performing 12 person team to providing a great dental service and customer experience.  I achieved my goal with this small business of living and working in the same community, being hands on with the product/service we provide and leading a successful small business.  The next logical step that I have always believed was in my future was to start and lead my own business --- enter Right Way Home Inspections.
